Huh?

Someone apparently gave me a gift of a skiing snowman. I'm not sure where or how, but when I got home last night, the 30th, there it was sitting on my porch. Sure it's not quite my style, but how can you be anything but thankful for random gifts appearing on your doorstep?
Anyone want to take credit for it, and get a thank you?
Wouldn't the neighbors have left a note, or knew when I'd be home?
Several friends have denied it already.

Cheating

Sunset at Discovery.

Heron at Green Lake, snapshot, I took this while walking by.
I try to post an image everyday, but normally I post the previous days image, but lately I've been posting in the evening because then I'm done. When I do that I set the date ahead because then it keeps everything sort of organized. Surely it doesn't matter, but I like to see that there is a post for everyday.
Enjoy.

Sunshine on your shoulders...

My mother used to listen to records on occasion, she would put a stack of records on the record player, let them play, then forget them for three days, flip them over, then play the other side, then turn the record player off for another couple of months. John Denver was one of the albums, but I don't remember any of the others. I saw sunshine in my kitchen, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but I haven't seen real sun for a while, and I'd spent all day in the snow, so the sun seemed really nice.
6.3 Baker

They said there was 20 inches of snow, but I couldn't find it. It was a good day, but my expectations where out of whack with the reality of the conditions.

Wierd snow, after the rain there was a layer of crust on the top, if you could get a clean line it was great, but if your nose dropped at all you went head over heals.

bye bye bag

I've had this bag for a long time, I think I got it from my mother. It's served me well, it's been a bag for all seasons, to the beach in the summer, to the mountains in the winter, although never anywhere in the fall. Now it's outside in the rain, waiting to be tucked into the trash. It wasn't the bag that was lost in the bellmans closet, but it was the bag that I carried to Washington, Oregon and when I went back to CA with my tail between my legs when I was 19. Now it's faded and without a zipper,

hunting

When it gets dark at 4, and I'm not out of the office until after that, it's hard to shoot photos of anything outside of home. I keep trying to think of new things, but it's hard without light.
