beginning and end

This was the sky in the morning when I was getting the NYT, which is at least a good salve for not riding.

And dinner left overs, thanks Thomas Keller for the safron suggestion (That unnexpected phone call when he said turn to page...).

In the struggle to find things to take pictures of with out getting wet, or having to walk far, you get this.
4 weeks of no snowboarding. Any bets how long that will last?

9 inches of new, but an inch of frozen stuffover it. Wierd.

13.4 Snoqualamie - Alpental

Good openeing day at Alpental - no crowds and good snow, lots of exposed stuff, but lots of good hits. Having Alpental that close is a great thing.

oddly amusing

12.3 Snoqualamie Central

The worst snow photo yet. I forgot to take a photo until I was back at the car. Oddly this photo is what I thought all of the mountains would look like before I started. Instead I so often get amazing views. Central was fun, little stashes of powder, but lots of exposed rocks and trees. How do the litte rocks get on top of the snow? Is someone distributing gravel?

Good riddance to last year,

It's been a good start thus far, or was it a good ending?
