Impermanence

This is a place for me to post daily images - very few of these are final images, meaning there is almost always more work to be done. Final Images are here.

Blue Moon Rising

Realy tonight -- it's a blue moon.
I'm very informative.

If you get the musical reference, can we be friends?

stilts

If I had a pair of stilts, well, I'd walk right off into the moonlight.

Sometimes dumb mistakes save us, numbers dropped, given another chance to make a better decision.

What does it take to be transformed, surely not just apathy.

So blue out, so bright out, even through tinted office windows.

Bellas Mom?

Met a dog (and owneer) of a dog that might have been Bella's Mom, the dog that is, not the owner.
Graying muzzle, spot on her chest, a tiny bit bigger but still a small Dane, same tail. I heard a bit about the dogs story and the story totally lines up and explains things if it's true. If true Bella is a 100% Great Dane, just small and underfed for a while, as I had expected. Very cool, I hope I run into both dog and owner again.

phone?

my phone is now working again. Now I'm debating getting a new phone number just for fun - I have it sitting on my white board at work - it was just sent to me, now I have two numbers, which should I keep?

nothing

--Last night I walked into the Showbox for what I thought was David Bazan’s first song, Hallelujah, but it ended up being his last song. Would have been nice to see more, but I was still delighted to at least hear that song again.

-- Bella caught a squirrel this morning. I let her out she ran downt he stairs instead of back to the lawn and all of a sudden she had a squirrel in her mouth. After much early morning yelling the squirrel got away and made it up the tree but I think Bella will now have more of a taste for squirrels.

Also...
I haven’t seen back to back shows by the same performer for a long time. It was very interesting two different experiences. Sunday I was lost in the past thinking about all of the concerts I’ve seen that made an impact on me for whatever reason, and there are so many reasons. I got lost in the past, pulled back to the present and spent the in between time wondering why I was spinning in the past as opposed to being present and aware of what was now. Last night I spent more time listening and watching the crowd. Super fun to see people smiling and laughing

Also…
The thing about putting more words up here is that because I’m always vague I always think things come out more negative, more bleak than they really are. It’s been sunny sometimes lately, I’ve found time to sit in the sun and read with only periodic interruptions from Bella. In Irvine I grew up reading some of the most important books, books I still cherish sitting in one chair, reading with a cat in my lap, taking breaks every couple of hours to stretch my legs(really to go try to master backside kick flips to tail so I could try to show up Jason, Josh and Ed, which never really worked, I could show up Josh, but then he’d show me up in some other way, and I could never show up Jason and Ed Skateboarding), I wish I had that type of focus now.

last night I was choking back emotion, for many reasons

I've heard David Bazan play this twice recently, and I hope to hear it many more times;

Where I heard it first;

and just to give the actaul song writer some credit as well;

dreams?

I don't often remember my dreams, but I've been remembering a lot of them lately;
Things that have appeared I my recent dreams;
-- Mike V and family walking by me while walking around the lake, smiling but continuing to walk.
-- Orca whales right off the coast while I was walking along the beach
-- Bella disappearing, then appearing again wearing a UCLA sweatshirt (huh?)
-- Buying a house
-- Selling a house

Things in my dreams that I'm not talking about;

toothpaste

-- This morning I stayed home and read and had tea and cereal before going to work.
-- I wore a t-shirt to work, which doesn't often happen.
-- I brushed my teeth before leaving for work, since I'd already had tea and eaten breakfast.
-- I got to work to find tooth paste on my shirt.
-- High five for me!

MIA

I'm antsy this morning, up early like nomral - hating my early morning interior alarm clock. Waking up without Bella around is odd, I keep waiting for her to pester m and make me laugh - but she is in doggy jail / doggy spa...

maybe I'm antsy because I was expecting to be snowboarding this morning instead of hanging out at home? Hard to know, no big deal, but I keep going back to try to read and I can't focus enough to get into the new Massud novel I'm starting. Ohwell. Maybe later when Bella is around to pester me.

Bella

Find Bella! -- Bella was freed Saturday AM.

I'm off to Whistler for the last of the snow, see if you can find Bella at her doggy spa.

Didn't make it to Whislter because I hang out with people that Canada thinks is a felon. Ohwell... Yeah I made it to the Border, then spent 15 minutes in Canada before being escorted back to the US. Good times!

like storms sometimes things come to a hed at the wrong time, two week early two weeks late, a lifetime or a day give or take.
Like storms these these things were never supposed to come to a head.
